When you see a dog on it's own or in unexpected circumstances:
Use slow motions
Never approach the dog in a straight line, turn your body to an angle.
Don't look directly at the dog.
Sit or lie down on the ground.
Lure with food if possible.
Speak softly, don't call or whistle.
Watch and report sightings and direction of travel (what3words app is very useful).
Please don't try to catch a dog if it's not willing to come to you.
